It has been my privilege for more than sixty years to participate in the honoring of outstanding individuals through the medium of an oil portrait. Whether a corporate leader, a person who has served our country, or someone who has played a major part at a university, these are the individuals for whom an oil portrait is the highest level of recognition.
As the work is accomplished from photographs, it allows the subjects to include active individuals who do not have the time nor the inclination to sit for a portrait. It also allows for posthumous or surprise presentations, which have become a specialty.
All work is done with the prior written understanding that the finished portrait must meet with the final approval of all concerned. CJ Fox Portraits is a sole proprietorship. CJ Fox was my grandfather in whose style and quality of work, my late father, and then I continue in the same proud, classical tradition of accurate representation of my subjects.
